More details about this report...
At around
mid-way through each trading day we run
a screen against our database of
high-ranked stocks, searching for
possible buy candidates that are trading
at or near their 52-week high on above
average volume. The results of that
screen are split into the two sections
you see below. The first, titled
"TODAY's FEATURED STOCKS" shows stocks
that our experts have recently
identified as among the strongest candidates to
consider. Stocks highlighted in yellow
are the most timely and noteworthy, so
particular attention and prompt action
may be appropriate. The second section,
titled "TODAY's BREAKOUT SCREEN" shows
the remainder of stocks meeting today's
screen parameters. Our experts have
reviewed and included notes on these
stocks as well, but found that they may
not match up as favorably.

Sales revenues increases in recent comparisons (Mar, Jun, Sep '11) show encouraging sequential acceleration from +8%, +11%, to +21% in the latest report.

Y - Gapped up today after reporting earnings +56% on +32% sales revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 versus the year ago period. Color code is changed to yellow with new pivot point cited based on its 7/07/11 high plus 10 cents. Volume-driven gains into new high ground may trigger a new technical buy signal. After dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 6/16/11 it rebounded near its 52-week high then slumped well below its 200 DMA line during a much deeper consolidation before rebounding again. It is now working on the right side of a 19-week cup shaped base with little overhead supply remaining to act as resistance.

It found support near its 50 DMA line during its consolidation since last noted in the 10/10/11 mid-day report and is now perched within close striking distance of its 52-week high with minimal resistance remaining due to overhead supply. Reported earnings +14% on +13% sales revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2011, down after recent comparisons showing encouraging sales revenues acceleration with better than +25% earnings increases. Its annual earnings (A criteria) history has been up and down.

Still hovering near its 52-week high today, however its choppy consolidation is not considered to be a sound base pattern. The rebound above its 50 DMA line helped its outlook improve. Due to report earnings on November 9th. It promptly repaired a recent violation of its 200 DMA line after it was dropped from the Featured Stocks list on 9/30/11.

Perched near its 52-week high today, holding its ground with volume totals cooling after considerable volume-driven gains. Reported earnings +22% on +12% sales revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 versus the year earlier. Quarterly and annual earnings (A criteria) history has not been strong and steady while sales revenues increases have been in the +12-14% range, not a good match with the guidelines of the fact-based investment system.

Hit another new 52-week high today. Held its ground following a considerable volume-driven gain on 11/03/11 after reporting earnings +56% on +3% sales revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 versus the year ago period. Sub par sales revenues growth and its up and down annual earnings (A criteria) history are fundamental concerns.

Touched another new 52-week high today then reversed into the red after 4 consecutive gains backed by above average volume. No resistance remains due to overhead supply, but its deep "V" shaped consolidation has not been recognized as a sound base pattern. Limited earnings track record, and there has been erratic price action since its $19 IPO on 6/19/11.

The Jun and Sep '11 quarterly comparisons showed very impressive sales revenues and earnings increases versus the year ago period(s). Prior history was not a good match with the investment system's guidelines. This low-priced firm in the Oil & Gas - US Exploration/Production industry has recently been wedging up near its prior highs in the $7-8 area without great volume conviction. Heavier volume was behind gains that helped it rebound from below its 50 and 200 DMA lines.

Hit a new 52-week high today then reversed into the red. Reported earnings +111% on +63% sales revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 versus the year ago period. It rallied from a 17-week cup shaped base during which it found support near its 200 DMA line. Recent quarterly comparisons showed strong sales and earnings increases. A downturn in FY '10 earnings is a flaw concerning the A criteria making it not a good match with the fact-based investment system's guidelines. The Building - Heavy Construction firm is one of the largest specialty contractors and engineering companies in the Western United States primarily serving the growing power and energy sectors.

Touched a new high today after holding its ground stubbornly for the past week with volume totals cooling. The 10/26/11 mid-day report noted - "Gapped up today, hitting a new 52-week high after reporting earnings +95% on +91% sales revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 versus the year ago period. Its past 3 quarterly comparisons (Mar, Jun, Sep '11) show impressive sequential acceleration in its sales revenues and earnings increases, satisfying the C criteria of the fact-based system. The downturn in its FY '09 earnings is a flaw concerning the A criteria. It is trading +77% above its 200 DMA line, a sign that it is extended from a sound base after the considerable rally from its February 2011 lows in the $11 area."

Reported earnings +138% on +73% sales revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2011 versus the year ago period. Recent quarterly comparisons show greatly improved sales revenues and earnings increases.
