More details about this report...
At around
mid-way through each trading day we run
a screen against our database of
high-ranked stocks, searching for
possible buy candidates that are trading
at or near their 52-week high on above
average volume. The results of that
screen are split into the two sections
you see below. The first, titled
"TODAY's FEATURED STOCKS" shows stocks
that our experts have recently
identified as among the strongest candidates to
consider. Stocks highlighted in yellow
are the most timely and noteworthy, so
particular attention and prompt action
may be appropriate. The second section,
titled "TODAY's BREAKOUT SCREEN" shows
the remainder of stocks meeting today's
screen parameters. Our experts have
reviewed and included notes on these
stocks as well, but found that they may
not match up as favorably.

Consolidating near its 50 DMA line today. It found prompt support near its 200 DMA line during its consolidation since last noted in the 6/28/11 mid-day report - "Recent quarters showed better sales and earnings increases versus the year earlier. Prior quarterly comparisons and annual earnings (A criteria) growth have not been strong and steady, so it is fundamentally below guidelines of the fact-based investment system. Most Recent Note for JAZZ - 9/7/2011 12:25:12 PM
Touching another new all-time high today following a choppy 5-week consolidation that was not recognized as a sound base pattern. There is no overhead supply remaining to act as resistance. Reported earnings +193% on +59% sales revenues for the quarter ended June 30, 2011. Technically it found support near prior highs during its quiet consolidation after noted in the 7/14/11 mid-day report when rising from a cup-with-handle pattern. FY '10 was its first ever profitable year, while the A criteria calls for a strong 3-5 year earnings growth history. Recent quarterly comparisons showed greatly improved sales revenues and earnings increases. The Medical - Ethical Drugs firm rose 80-fold from its low of $0.52 in April 2009. Ownership by top-rated funds rose from 117 in Jun '10 to 246 in Jun '11, a reassuring sign concerning the I criteria.
